I like doing crossword puzzles. It's a skill that improves with practice, and I've been doing them for decades. The one thing that really stands out is that the first time I look at a puzzle I often have no clue how to proceed.
A bit later in the day I start seeing the answers to some parts, and later more. Eventually the puzzle is done.
I've learned that despair when no answer is in sight is often a liar. I've tried not to believe such lies because it was easier to give up and easy things are usually worthless.
And so we've hard times ahead with Trump and his minions moving in. I would be more joyful if it didn't have to be. But despair is a lie that is too easy to give in to. My heroes were always in it for the long haul, not because they saw the path but because of their faith in it.
